Well, the Foreign Relations Committee voted to endorse the nomination of Hillary Clinton to be next Secretary of State. The lone no vote? Well, that would belong to our embarassment of a Senator, David Vitter.

The good Sinator ought not to be giving folks advice on ethics ... as he spent some time impugning his own inside the brothels of New Orleans and Washington, D.C. Yet, he believes it is his duty to admonish those who have gone above and beyond what the current ethics rules require in terms of financial disclosure, in regards to the Clintons and Mr. Clinton's foundation.

Strict Obstructionist (0.00 / 1)
Good coverage, Ryan.  It looks as though while the rest of the nation prepares for change, Senator Vitter will be taking a "strict obstructionist" position.

What else is there for him to do ... (0.00 / 1)
He knows the Democratic voters of this state HATE him.  He knows that his only shot at re-election is to keep the base here at home happy.  So he's doing what he needs to do to keep his base excited ... and he's going to need them, because I don't think the Democrats or the indies are going to show up en masse to vote for him.

The question over the next 20+ months is will they line up to vote for whomever the Democratic nominee is?

I will say this ... if the nominee happens to be Chris John, fuhgeddaboudit.

"I was against NAFTA and CAFTA, and I'll be against SHAFTA."
