Frmr Republican leader: "David Vitter Must Go

Quin Hillyer, former state chair of the Louisiana Young Republicans pens this op-ed for GAMBIT wherein he writes:

Vitter thus far has survived his infamous ties to the "D.C. Madam," along with credible accusations of earlier assignations with at least one other call girl. Supporters apparently forgave his moral lapse — and overlooked the fact that paying prostitutes is a crime. Nobody should be in the Senate drafting laws if he is unwilling to abide by them.

It seems to show that many are starting to agree with this sentiment, and traditional political wisdom is that if an incumbent is under 50% in the polls, they have something to worry about.  So Senator Vitter, take heed.

Questions we would love the Senator to answer:

Does his office conduct background checks on all employees?  Does his campaign?

When did you/your office learn of Mr. Furer’s repeated brushes with the law including DWI’s and the arrest for domestic abuse (et al.) and the subsequent pleading to lesser charges?

Why did you retain Mr. Furer and why did you keep him assigned to Women’s Issues/Abortion?

It seems very troubling to me that this has been out there now for weeks and the Senator has been able to avoid speaking with the media.  It seems even more troubling to me that local and national news stations are not staking the guy out.  I mean he was at the event here in Lafayette – we had two days notice and it appears not one reporter even approached him on these issues.

The Daily Kingfish for one is NOT going to let this issue go, we are going to stay on it.

How long before JIndal appologizes to BP? (0.00 / 0)

Jindal calls the feds and Coast gaurd out on any little Regulation or restriction but is silent to BP's blatant hypocrisy and Bullshit and their tottaly fake cleanup effort.

BP won't use peat moss for clean-up because it can't resell the oil it soaks up  http://www.americablog.com/201...

It is like Jindal, BP, and media are working together to get us to ignore the truth.

Truths like this: BP estimated they could skim 38 million barrels of oil by now. They're currently just over 37 millions barrels short.  http://www.cbsnews.com/stories...

hey Fishermen!! (0.00 / 0)
BP is still going to nickle and dime you. Whether it is your recreational Drug use, your lack of federal tax filings or some bullshit reason that they make up they are going to screw you... Take the job and go live in a fema trailer on their compound doing bullshit cleanup work or don't get paid.

Oil companies have been screwing us before the spill and that is not going to change now. Why would it? You're still just a piece of s-h-i-t to them when it comes to their profits and losses. They only love you when you are hard working fool, working for them.

Some People choose fishing for a living because they like the freedom of that life. BP comes in and fcks up your world and now they are going to take your freedom too.

Face reality people. If the oil companies paid millions of dollars to my campaign and to me and gave my family cushy jobs in the business and the lobby's I would sell all of you out too and move to Houston too... That is exactly what all the people you elect do to you. It is amazing what a few million will do your world view.
